I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Marilyn Korhonen since 1996. In that time she has garnered more than six million dollars of grants for various programs in this district.
When our relationship started we had the limited goal of acquiring grants for various aspects concerning instructional technology. As our relationship grew she made it her business to become a member of our academic team and through that avenue she began to write grants for after school programs, family education programs, and teacher training. She also became a valuable contributor to the vision of this district.
Dr. Korhonen has too many attributes to mention in this short space, but perhaps the greatest is her passionate advocacy for all children. Her love of children comes out through anything she touches.
